If looking further afield, we are ideally located for touring the area. There are many picturesque villages including the "chocolate box” village of Thornton-le-Dale all on our doorstep. The local market towns of Pickering and Malton provide the closest retail therapy. Discover a variety of nearby historic houses, museums and attractions such as the wonderful Castle Howard, Eden Camp, Ryedale Folk Museum, Beck Isle Museum, Museum of Victorian Science. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, Flamingoland and Matthewsons classic car museum and auctions are all popular with guests. Visit the historical City of York to see some of its many visitor attractionsfor more retail therapy, a ‘Day at the Races’ or just for more retail therapy.

The heart of the North York Moors National Park and famous Heartbeat country is just down the road. Discover many quaint fishing villages and the seaside resorts of Whitby and Scarborough, all only half an hour away on the dramatic East Yorkshire Coast. A little further afield is the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs.

Golfers will be pleased to find several challenging golf courses all within a half hour drive.
